E-world is continuing on its course for growth and innovation. In 2017, it registered a record with 710 exhibitors and around 25,000 international trade visitors. Nearly 20 % of these exhibitors were companies from the field of smart energy. Moreover, young companies, universities, research institutes and start-ups presented their products and services on the joint "E-world Innovation" area. Many companies have already booked their booths for 2018 - including innogy, E.ON, Shell, Bosch, Engie, Siemens and Veolia.
Intelligent solutions for the city of the future
Advancing digitisation will change cities and metropolitan areas forever: The focus will be on integrating heat and power, efficient buildings and electric transport into one flexible, optimised and intelligent system. For the presentation of intelligent solutions to these challenges, for the first time E-world 2018 is placing special emphasis on the specific topic "Smart City".
There will be a supporting programme on all aspects of the four main topics: transport, heating, grids and buildings. In lectures and discussions, international projects and initiatives for intelligent city planning will be presented and specific approaches to solutions discussed. The existing Energy Transition, Smart Tech and Innovation forums will be supplemented by the Finance & Trading forum.
Trade fair promotes young companies in a targeted way
At E-world, established companies as well as start-ups will present their innovative solutions - for example technologies for intelligent energy transmission, storage and the integration and networking of prosumers. The fair will also focus on supporting young companies. The "E-world Innovation" exhibition area will offer company founders the opportunity to establish important contacts to investors and representatives of industry: 77 % of the trade visitors will be decision takers.
